🛠️ Bench!




In this devlog, I’m working on Bench!, a mobile gym game focused on simple but satisfying bench press gameplay.
The core mechanic is tap-based lifting — each rep requires multiple taps, and the bar actually moves as you press. I’ve added a weight system where you can load plates on both sides of the bar, with heavier plates placed closer to the center like in real life.
The game features an XP progression system:

Every completed rep gives XP

Heavier weights reward more XP

You can’t lift heavy plates early — they unlock as you gain experience
I also implemented:

Plate buying with XP (no refunds when removing)

Total weight (KG) display

Persistent save system (XP, plates, settings)

Music system with random tracks and on/off toggle that saves between sessions
This devlog focuses on building clean core mechanics, realistic weight logic, and long-term progression — keeping the game minimal but addictive.
